About me
Freda Keyser is a third grade teacher and multi-classroom leader at River View Community School, a grades 3-5 school in MSAD 11. Freda exudes positive energy, builds authentic collaborative relationships, and fully believes that every child can and will learn. While she holds roles as teacher, athletic coach, and tutor, she has embraced the opportunity enter a formalized role as a Multi-Classroom Leader within the Instructional Leadership framework adopted by MSAD 11. In her first year, she has reframed the purpose and process of professional learning communities, facilitated ongoing and effective meetings focused on student learning and instructional practice, co-planned and modeled instruction for her colleagues, and monitored progress through cycles of action. Staff buy-in was evident as she assumed her leadership role and strategic, explicit small group instruction became more effective while student learning outcomes improved.
