About me
Karin Paquin is the Dean of Faculty and a middle school science teacher at St. John's Catholic School in Brunswick, Maine. With a background in marine science and over a decade of experience in education, she is passionate about creating authentic, hands-on STEM experiences that connect students with real-world science and engineering.Karin has led student research projects in partnership with engineers and scientists from organizations including Space for Teachers, Teachers in Space, USM, NASA and Georgia Tech, bringing aerospace engineering, microgravity research, and space exploration into the classroom. She is committed to building meaningful industry partnerships that inspire students while equipping teachers with innovative, classroom-ready resources.Through professional development, curriculum design, and educator workshops, Karin works to empower teachers to make STEM engaging, accessible, and relevant for learners of all ages.
