About me
Samantha Dina is a workforce and education policy leader with deep experience building statewide career pathways systems. As Associate Commissioner at the Maine Department of Labor, she convened and led the Workforce Cabinet to align workforce, education, and economic development priorities — including securing Cabinet adoption of the Maine Career Pathways framework — and served on the Maine Career Pathways advisory committee to launch its pilot program. She directed $30M+ in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding overall, resulting in the doubling of Maine’s Apprenticeship Program, training of more than 5,000 individuals and connecting 4,000 to jobs. She also secured and is overseeing $20M+ in state, federal, and philanthropic funding, including recent US DOL Industry-Driven Skill Training grant, by embedding workforce goals into statewide workforce and economic development plans. Prior to state government, Samantha worked in management consulting at FSG and McKinley Advisors. She holds an MBA from Duke University and a BS from American University.
